What do you think i should do?

my boyfriend and i have been dating over a year and by the time college rolls around it be almost two years. well he's moving 4 hours away to ohio for college. i was going to stay home but i recently discovered another college in the town he is moving to that offers what i want to go to school for. (only 3 colleges in my state offer it) so naturally i was stoked! so i talk to him about it and it seems like he doesn't really want me to go there.. its like the vibes i get. but its really confusing because if he wants to stay together through it all.. why wouldn't he want me to enjoy college with him? they're two totally different colleges on opposite sides of town and its not like i'd see him every day.. i just don't know if i should pursue it.. whenever i ask him about it he says he'd miss me so much if we were apart but he never actually says he'd want me there. to me it sounds like he has a plan to break up before he leaves.. maybe i'm just being to optimistic..?
