Left meat to unthaw in the fridge is it ruined?

I put the meat in the fridge to thaw (it had been in the freezer) wednesday morning at 4AM. Then something came up and I ended up getting something to eat out in town, came home and went to bed, Then thursday the same thing happened, my truck broke down and I didn't get home until 10pm. I want to cook it today, is that possible or is it ruined (it's steak)
