He took my bandanna and made it into his Lucky Charm. what does that mean?

there is guy, and we are really close friends, it sounds like we flirt a lot, but he never said that he likes me. now that its winter and we both snowboard, he said he's gonna take my bandanna and it's going to be his Lucky Charm when he goes to the contest for snowboarders. He said he's going to drive me there so i can cheer for him. and also he said he's going to give me his sweater because hes taking my bandanna. what is that suppose to mean?
