Does this girl hate me? Or is she just mad? Help me, I'm clueless with girls.?

We are both second year students at university living in the same residence who I have just gotten to know this year. A couple of weeks ago, she was flirting with me and always gave me her full attention when i talked, never breaking eye contact. When I realized she probably liked me too, it made me nervous around her (i have a tendency to be shy). Because of my nervousness, I think I gave her the impression I didn't like her at all. I acted unenthused when i saw her and didn't pay much attention to her :(. Then I realized I was acting really silly. I put my nervousness aside and realized I should just become better friends with her. So now when I was talking to her, I asked her if I could come along next time she and her friends, who I know as well, were getting together and she was hesitant. Then when we headed inside (same residence) I told her which room i lived in and to stop by whenever she was going out for a cigarette or something and she said, "Ok cool, yah I'll remember that." Sorry for the long prelude, but for the actual question... Does she hate me and should I forget about even being friends? Or is it possible she is just angry because of the way I acted and should I try to regain her friendship?
